What happens when you get too close to the camera!

Pioneer park to burn off some excess energy

Games...the reason we were there.

What a name (pronounced wee) all the fun you can have standing up. Guess what's on next years Christmas wish list?

Back to POTD

This weeks theme-things we love
This bread is the yummiest, soft and bouncy with crunchy bits of grain and pumpkin seeds. 'Good onya Mum, tip tops the one' Maybe I could advertise for them lol

The cake

Boy I love this sort of party. I paid the money someone fed them, baked the cake and entertained them and all at a resonable price. It was sooo hot today the last thing I had energy for was baking a cake (poor person who did, I hope they had air conditioning, I guess it's not so bad when you get paid to do it) All the balls over this are real little bouncy balls, heaps of fun after.

Boy eight is busy, party @ the HUB

This is what boys look like when they think no one is watching...

and this is when they spot the camera...

And then swimming

He's off and

he's in.

My baby turned eight today...

An early start after a restless night, too excited to sleep I guess, it's not every day you turn eight and guess what, a new bike.

POTD shot 10

11 and 12 are of Izzy, see further down. Took this shot down at the beach at Port Fairy, the theme for the moment is 'my home' and this certainly will always be my home where ever I end up living. Geoff thought I was a little loopy taking photos of my thongs, don't think I even explained to him why I was doing it either, whoops.

Just a couple of shots from Colac.

Big brother Geoff and cousins Wayne and Ralph (Sons of Mary and Allan Smith, Mary is the only girl in the Stevens family) All with the lovely dark Stevens skin, wouldn't it be lovely if we could pick and choose our genes.
Seamus being a bit of a dork on the climbing frame

My boys in the surf.

Jackson...he's back

To letting me take some photos of him. Most taken at Port Fairy 12th of December (while he was meant to be in school, shhhhhh) the last one was at Colac. I can't believe how fast he's growing and how broad his shoulders have become, I'm starting to see a young man intead of a boy.

Izzy Sista

She's all bounce and curl

This little pint sized missy is too adorable. I just can't get enough of her and really don't like that I am missing so much of not only her but all the little ones growing up. Taken at the Stevens family reunion, Colac.

POTD 8 & 9

Just thought I'd put these on here before I race off to the High school swimming carnival, then home for a quick tidy up and get organised for our trip away this weekend. We are off to Port Fairy tomorrow night then Colac on sunday for a Stevens family reunion. I haven't caught up with a lot of Dad's side of the family for years. Some of my cousins kids I have never met, (make that most of my cousins kids) so I'm looking forward to an afternoon of playing who's who. Just catching up with my own imediate family is a big enough thing in itself. Big brother Geoff is home from Darwin so everyone will be happy to see him and I get to see more of my little 'greaties'.
The first shot is self explanatory, four boys = lots of laundry
The second shot is a tassle Rhonda made for me the first year I was in Naracoorte, she new how much I missed the ocean. It was with absolute delight that I opened the little parcel when it arived on my doorstep the day of my birthday and found this inside with it's gorgeous little sea shells and the colors of the ocean (the colors are a little off in this photo, the threads are more an ivory colour). It was also my first birthday I had ever spent away from my family and friends so it was so comforting to have this little reminder of home. I am always so grateful to have little reminders like this of her.

Day 6 and 7 of POTD

The last days about me before we start 'our home'. I am a mother, Seamus early this morning just as he was waking. Second shot, I am learning, reading, practicing, trying to become a better photographer, it's a long but enjoyable journey.

More Blue bazaar photos of the day. Week one 'Me'

#1 water, I'm a water girl, most comfortable when I'm near moving water, lakes, rivers the ocean, even sprinklers lol. #2 The theme is me and this is my foot, odd shape that it is, with my weird longer second toe. #3 a very strange self portrait, I'm squinting into the sun and looking like I have buck teeth, very strange looking me but me nonetheless.

Those teeth

Seamus is almost eight, coming up on the 15th of Feb, and still has not lost his top baby teeth. They are ground down to hardly anything yet still no sign of wobbliness. I think this might mean a visit to the dentist. I am hoping that they are going to be there to come down, his oldest brother jackson has a couple of adult teeth missing from his bottom jaw and his orthodontist told me the other day that things like that can be hereditory (yikes) a couple of teeth on the bottom is one thing but his middle teeth at the top, no way.
Tried an urban intensity action by Jinky to this shot.

Blue Bazaar's photo of the day

Each day in February a group of us on the forum board at Blue Bazaar www.bluebazaar.com.au are doing a daily photography challenge for the month of February ('cause it's a short month ) based on themes for each week. Week 1) all about me/my style week, 2)My home week, 3)things I love, week 4)everyday life. These are the first two days entries. The cup of earl Grey is how I've been starting my day off since the boys started back at school. I've developed a bit of a routine now. Up and shower, lunches for the boys, get them organised and walk Seamus to school then home to dishes, then 5 min to sit and enjoy a cuppa and check out my emails for the day, it's my bliss time before I face work or whatever I'm up to for the day. The second shot is just one of my thongs, I've flogged the poor things since I've had them. A friend told me when I came home with them that they were very 'me'.

Paddy's first day.

A quick shot before we raced Paddy off to sescondary school for his first day. It seems to have taken forever for year 8 to get here and he has been so ready for it.
